Dr. Dan Peters
|
Dr. Dan Peters received an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Michigan before completing his dental training at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1993. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, West Michigan District Dental Society, Kent County Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Dan served for many years on the Michigan Dental Association’s Committee on Annual Session (chairing in 2000) which plans and runs the state dental convention each year. He is also past chair of the West Michigan District Dental Society’s Committee on Membership and served as Editor of the organization’s bulletin. In addition, Dr. Dan is past chair of the local New Dentist Forum.
Honored by his peers, Dr. Dan received the Michigan Dental Association’s New Dentist Leadership Award in 1999, and was inducted into the American College of Dentists in 2001. Currently, Dr. Dan serves on the West Michigan District Dental Society’s Peer Review-Ethics Committee.
Dr. Dan has a keen interest in dental materials and serves as a beta tester for several dental equipment and materials manufacturers which keeps his knowledge of new dental products and techniques very current.
Dr. Dan volunteers his time as a “reading parent” at the local elementary school and is proud to serve as youth group director at his church. Away from the office, Dr. Dan enjoys snowmobiling, lifting weights, fishing, and collecting unusual fishing lures.
The Peters met and got married during dental school. They’ve been personal and professional partners ever since working together as a husband /wife dental team. They live in the local community with their two children, Madison and Kyle.

Dr. Deb Peters
|
Dr. Deb Peters completed her undergraduate studies in Dental Hygiene and Biology at Ferris State University and is a 1993 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Dr. Deb is a member of the West Michigan District Dental Society, Kent County Dental Society, Michigan Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Chicago Dental Society. She is a respected leader in her profession at a local, state, and national level. Dr. Deb is Past President of the West Michigan District Dental Society, past chair of the American Dental Association’s Council on Membership, and past chair of the Michigan Dental Association’s Committee on the New Dentist.
Dr. Deb has been recognized by her peers, receiving the Michigan Dental Association’s New Dentist Leadership Award in 2002. She was also accepted into the American College of Dentists in 2001 and the International College of Dentists in 2006 after being nominated by her peers. Both organizations are dedicated to excellence, ethics, leadership, and professionalism.
Currently, Dr. Deb serves as a delegate to the American Dental Association’s Annual Session. She serves locally on the Peer Review-Standard of Care Committee for the West Michigan District Dental Society, and is honored to be the first female dentist to serve the Michigan Dental Association as Speaker of the House of Delegates.
Active in the community, Dr. Deb volunteers with the Interfaith Hospitality Network which helps the homeless by providing short-term housing and assisting with long-term housing and employment solutions. She also serves as a junior achievement leader to several classes at the local elementary school. In her spare time, Dr. Deb enjoys knitting, scrapbooking, and snowmobiling.

Megan
|
Megan is a dental hygienist who graduated from Grand Rapids Community College. She joined our practice in April of 2008. Megan cleans teeth, takes x-rays, educates patients, treats gum disease, and administers local anesthetic.
Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and family, camping, reading, and many outdoor activities.

Katie
|
Katie is a dental assistant who graduated from Grand Rapids Community College in 2001. She joined our practice in July of 2008. Katie greets and seats the doctor’s patients, takes x-rays, and assists the doctors with clinical procedures.
In her spare time, Katie enjoys running, reading, crafting, camping, and other outdoor activities.

Linda
|
Linda is Appointment Coordinator and is responsible for greeting patients, arranging appointments, filing insurance claims, and making referrals to appropriate specialists. Linda joined our office in September, 2001.
Linda has over 25 years experience in dental offices. Outside of work, Linda enjoys reading, stamping cards, and spending time with her family.
Since Linda’s and Ruth’s responsibilities overlap, each is cross-trained to handle any questions patients may have.

Rena
|
Rena is a dental hygienist who graduated from Ferris State University in 1998. She has been with our practice since February 2010. Rena cleans teeth, takes x-rays, treats gum disease, and administers local anesthetic.
Outside of the office, Rena enjoys time with her husband, daughter, and their dog. She loves to travel, Tiger baseball, and spending time outdoors.

Rachel

Rachel is the Financial Coordinator for Peters Family Dentistry. She has worked in the dental field since 2005 handling insurance claims and arranging financial options for patients.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys being with her family, kids, and friends. She also enjoys shopping, the outdoors, and sports.
